  Position Overview

  This position is responsible for transporting materials as needed to and from the shop, off-site deliveries, receiving and disbursing deliveries at the shop and all other duties as assigned. Individuals responsible for driving company vehicles on behalf of the company do have to go through a Driver approval process.

  This is an hourly Non-Exempt position and is eligible for a wide range of benefits including but not limited to; Paid Time Off, Holiday pay, Medical, Dental, Vision, EAP and 401K.   Essential Job Functions

  Transporting finished goods and raw materials over land to and from the warehouse, vendors and work sites.

  Performing pre-travel inspections of vehicles used for transportation of materials and goods.

  Coordinate delivery schedules with the office and field supervision.

  Forklift experience is preferred.

  Must be able to lift up to 50lbs with or without assistance.

  Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the position, including but not limited to; standing, walking, squatting/crouching and various phases lifting.

  Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

  Be able to pick up orders from various external vendors on an as needed basis

  Take trash from office area(s) out each morning

  Refill propane tanks for forklifts on an as needed basis

  Ensure vehicles maintenance is kept up on a regular basis

  Other duties as assigned

  Requirements

  Must have a clean driving record with no moving violations or accidents within the last 3 years.

  Must be 21 or older for insurance purposes

  Must have a reliable form of transportation to and from the workplace.

  Must wear work appropriate clothing – jeans with no tears, shirt with sleeves, leather boots that are at least ankle high and other clothing items as required for safety purposes.

  Must be able to don and doff all required PPE, including but not limited to various forms of head protection, hand and eye protection, facemask and/or other approved face coverings.

  LANGUAGE SKILLS

  Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.

The employee must be able to navigate around job site locations and carry material.
