Position Summary The role of the Volunteer Coordinator is to generateinterest in volunteering at HIV Alliance, resulting in a continual flowof support. The Volunteer Coordinator assists in managing all aspects ofthe volunteer program. The coordinator\'s duties around volunteersinclude recruitment (with a focus on long-term volunteers), orientationand training, acknowledgment and gratitude, accurate and comprehensiverecord keeping, evaluation/feedback from both staff and volunteers, andretention. The Coordinator must inspire trust and confidence in theagency\'s volunteers and the community. Essential Functions &Responsibilities Assists the management team in accomplishing goalsrelated to recruitment, screening, training, placement and supervisionof volunteers; Ensure that volunteers are appreciated and haveopportunities for feedback; Maintain organized program record keepingHelp with scheduling and provide regular orientations and trainings forinterested volunteer applicants Match volunteers with agency needs orcustomized volunteer projects Maintain a database for tracking/tallyingvolunteer hours, job preferences, and contact information Helpsimplement a sustainable plan for on-going recruitment, developingregular contacts at local colleges, high schools, local businesses, andcommunity groups and organizations Arrange for volunteer information tobe available at all tabling, community events, and speaking engagementsConduct review of volunteers\' performance and interest inadditional/alternative placements Maintain a file for each volunteerthat includes a signed volunteer application, timesheets, trainingrecords, referrals, verification of criminal background check, andverification of TB test result Assist in supervising general agencyvolunteer pool and their work Assist in the recruitment, placement, andsupervision of day-of-event volunteers for agency events Supportimplementation of program/volunteer equity goals Track data necessary tomonitor progress toward equity goals and to identify disparities involunteer engagement Support collection of volunteer feedback on aregular basis and using that feedback to make program improvementsEnsure that volunteer concerns related to equity are addressed Ensurethat policies and procedures and consistently applied Provide volunteerwith opportunities to share input related to program equity goals Otherduties as defined by Director For a complete job description, pleasevisit: https://hivalliance.criterionhcm.com/jobs/51/1/#475
