Summary:
The VP Supplemental Benefit Sales, Broker Channel within Cigna Supplemental Benefits (CSB) will be a critical team member responsible for making CSB a market leader in the Medicare Supplement and Supplemental Health markets. This individual will be part of a growth engine for the organization and will lead a team of Regional Vice Presidents and a portion of our broker partners. You will hire, train, and motivate a team that will deliver industry leading results by developing a best in class channel.
Responsibilities:
Develop the strategy and implementation of distribution items related to working in the Medicare Supplement and Supplemental Health markets.
Lead a team of two Regional Vice Presidents that are responsible for cultivating relationships with National Marketing Organizations (NMO’s) and their downline partners.
Assess competitors’ distribution capabilities and make recommendations on opportunities to close capability gaps.
Develop sales goals and targets for the sales team.
Recruit, train, and motivate our external distribution partners.
Implement strategies design to reward behavior that generates higher quality of business for the enterprise.
Work closely with matrix partners to include marketing, operations, actuarial, finance, and sales support to build a best in class experience for brokers and customers.
50% domestic travel
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree or equivalent work and leadership experience
Seasoned, respected leader with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Medicare Supplement and/or Supplemental Health market required.
Previous people management experience required
Experience with brokerage distribution channels required
Strategic thinker proficient in developing strong distribution capabilities.
Ability to develop relationships across all levels of the organization, as well as externally.
Demonstrated ability to influence others and utilize resources to accomplish tasks. Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
