We are seeking an experienced and creative professional looking to join a team providing the highest quality, educational childcare for working families. While you will primarily serve as a Head Toddler teacher and work in the classroom, this position will be a dual role and provides the opportunity to develop expertise in education administration.
Responsibilities include:Ability to cultivate a positive learning environment that is responsive, supportive, and inclusive, while also safe, predictable and well organized.Plan, develop and implement developmentally appropriate, and engaging, play-based, explorative, opportunities, activities, and lessons that serve to foster development while instilling the love of learning.Build strong, cohesive partnerships with our families by creatively developing opportunities to involve and engage families in the classroom.Utilize multiple forms of data collection to inform, plan and guide instruction, and classroom practices, as well as assess and periodically report growth and development.Working knowledge of, and strict compliance to NYC, DOE Policies and Regulations, as well as all licensing and accrediting agencies and organizations (NYC, DOHMH, and NAEYC).Strong Leadership Skills with a positive approach, attitude and mindset.Ability to meet physical requirements of the position which includes, but is not limited to lifting children, sitting on the floor, and year-round daily outdoor activities.
QualificationsMinimum Bachelor's (Master's Preferred), in Early Childhood Education, Special Education or related field required.NYS Teacher Certification B-2 (Preferred),(Strong consideration given to experienced candidates, in progress toward NYS Cert).Minimum 1-2 years Early Childhood Classroom Teaching Experience (Previous NYC DOE, PKA (3K/4K) Experience, Strongly Preferred).Salary: $17.00-$23.00 per hour
