Eaton is currently seeking a Tradeshow and Events Specialist. This hybrid position will be located at our Southfield, MI, Galesburg, MI, or Beachwood, OH facility.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year.

What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Brand Development Manager on the Corporate Marketing Communications team, the Tradeshow and Events Specialist, Mobility Group, will be responsible for in-person trade shows and virtual events program strategies, plans and tactics. This position is a key member of the Mobility Group Marketing Communications team and will support the marcom managers and Mobility teams execute on scheduled events. Mobility Group includes legacy Vehicle Group, eMobility, and Power Connections products and solutions.
The specialist will work with marketing communications leaders and team members to ensure close alignment while collaborating with industry marketing stakeholders and corporate marketing. Working with these functions, the manager will develop strategies supporting trade shows to further Eaton’s presence in our Mobility segments and with key audiences (traditional passenger vehicle, battery and hybrid electric vehicle, commercial vehicle, aftermarket, and other suppliers).
This position will work with marketing communications managers and specialists to drive booth content development for segment-specific trade shows aligning with the Mobility Group's strategic communication pillars to support vehicle emissions reduction and electrification technology. The role is also responsible to help manage the relationship with exhibit supply house to effectively display Eaton’s show presence with the development of displays and properties along with storage and maintenance.
This position supports both internal and external audiences. It requires learning and understanding of Eaton's vehicle-focused businesses, products, segment strategies and evolving market trends; product knowledge; creative use of trade show and virtual platforms for message delivery; and analysis of performance including return on investment (ROI) and return on objectives (ROO). It requires collaborating with select internal teams and managing various external vendors who act as extended team members to complete projects (graphic designers, exhibit house account reps, trade show subcontractors, virtual platform production team, etc.) in a timely fashion with input from key stakeholders mentioned above.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field of study
Minimum of 2 years of experience in trade show management, marketing communications, communications or journalism role
Relocation is not available. Candidate must reside within a 50 mile radius of Galesburg, MI, Southfield, MI or Beachwood, OH.
Sponsorship is not available. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without requiring company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
Automotive industry experience
Experience in establishing and managing in-person and virtual events.
