　　Receive reports at the beginning of each shiftAssess the physical and emotional status of each resident and evaluate their need for continued or immediate careDelegate responsibility for the direct care of each resident to appropriate nursing personnel according to needs, physical layout of care areas and staff abilityResponsible for all phases of direct resident care, within the guidelines of the Nurse Practice Act Ensure that nursing staff perform all restorative measures recommended in the plan of care and required by each resident's conditionReport all incidents of change in resident's condition to the Director of NursingAssist physicians on rounds and keep them informed of the status of each resident, changes in condition and medical emergenciesPlan working schedule to allow for education, supervision, and evaluations of performance for all nursing personnel during the shiftMaintain completeness of resident charts and individual care plans, making sure entries are timely, informative, and descriptive of resident's conditionWrite daily nursing notes on all skilled residents, and monthly summary notes on each resident according to posted scheduleResponsible for timely execution of all physician orders, including laboratory testing, specialized therapy orders, and preparation and administration of all medications as indicatedFull-time positions, working 12 hour shifts.
