NuAire, Inc. is currently seeking a First Shift TIG Welder. As a Welder, you will perform any combination of tasks to set up and operate welding machines that join parts of fabricated metal products as specified by mechanical drawings. Must plan, lay out, set up and perform work assignments independently. Must use correct templates and accurately position and fit parts with an average tolerance in accordance with mechanical drawings and instructions on shop drawings. This position will also assist as needed in production as a metal finisher and perform any combination of tasks to Grind, polish, and/or finish standard units and non-standard parts using a variety of tools and equipment. Description of Duties: Sets up and operates welding machines. Read, interpret, and work from mechanical drawings, shop routings, prints, or instructions. Applies knowledge of welding techniques to determines required equipment and welding methods. Plan, lay out, position, secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler. Select correct fabricated parts to weld. Select and use correct welding rods and clamps. Welds standard parts with average tolerances. Inspect work using a precision measuring instrument. Examines welded components for defects. Sets up and operates some types of sheet metal finishing machines, as trained. Finishes standard units and non-standard parts. Select correct supplies to obtain the correct finished product. Hours for first shift are Monday through Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and Friday 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Starting wage will be dependent on experience level. $4,000 HIRING BONUS FOR TIG WELDERS!* *Hiring bonus to be paid out in installments during the first year of employment.
