Telecommunicators take emergency calls and dispatch police, fireand medical services, and also take non-emergency calls. This positionrequires extensive training and familiarization with emergency servicedispatching entailing a 9-1-1 system and hired persons will be trainedto be familiar with all aspects of emergency dispatch center operations.All positions are full-time. This is a 24/7 operation - there are 3shifts, and work will include holidays and weekends. Shift differentialsare added to base pay for 2nd (\$1.00/hr) and 3rd (\$1.50/hr.) shiftwork. Minimum starting pay is \$23.57/hr, and may be higher withexperience.
