POSITION PURPOSE / IMPORTANT APPLICATION INFORMATIONThe Public Safety Telecommunicator Supervisor is responsible for thesupervision of the 911 Emergency Communications Center for Police, Fire,and Emergency Medical Services, as well as other City departments. This is asafety-sensitive position.
Education, Experience, Skills, Formal Training, Licenses, and CertificationsRequired:
A minimum of three (3) years of public safety dispatch (Police, Fireand/or EMS) experienceMust possess, or be able to obtain a valid Colorado Driver's License andmaintain a safe driving record for the duration of employmentAbility to type a minimum of 35 words per minute with 80 percent accuracyAbility to provide excellent customer service to both internal and externalcustomers in a fast-paced environmentGeneral knowledge of police, fire and EMS operations and proceduresAbility to work all shifts to include days, evenings, nights,weekends, and holidays
Preferred:Two (2) years of college level coursework in BusinessAdministration/Management, Criminal Justice, Emergency Communications,or related fieldTwo (2) or more years supervisory experience in a Public Safety(police, fire, and/or EMS) communications centerAny equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, whichwould provide the required knowledge and skills, may be considered.
