We have an Excellent career opportunity for a Technical Writer and Data Support to join a leading Company inLancaster, NY.
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000
Job Responsibilities:
Create engineering design reports for off-the-shelf products to support certification.
Develops data collection and evaluation methodologies, including format design, project criteria and requirements, data compilation, relevancy and usage.
Review engineering documents and drawings for customer data requirements and AVOX standards.
Formulates, implements, and enforces proper data collection policies and procedures.
Determines data needed to be collected and the appropriate data resources for all active programs/projects.
Provide procedures and training to appropriate engineers in data management-related topics.
Assist with entering and updating Item Master and BOM data in both PLM and ERP systems.
Support the Configuration Manager with related tasks.
Deployment of new PLM system and management.
Enter and update vendor data records in the PLM system.
Facilitate Customer Approvals.
Maintain customer/contract design data and requirements.
Prepare engineering Data Item correspondence per customer requirements.
Train and educate personnel on customer data requirements
Submit data items to customers via portal email.
Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual data reports for distribution.
PLM Administrator.
Ensures quality data collection techniques are established for reporting agencies.
Evaluates current Data delivery and correspondence methods for continuous improvement.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience with a degree.
4+ years' experience in technical writing of engineering documents, handbooks, guides, and/or standards.
2+ years in maintaining PLM systems.
10+ years' experience in PLM preferred.
Must be able to understand complex information.
Exhibit good communication and technical writing skills.
Knowledge of ERP systems is preferred.
