Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.  Responsibilities for this PositionThis position can be located at our Canonsburg, PA location or our Manassas, VA location.Position ObjectivesThis role is two parts: approximately 90% direct charge program role and 10% in leadership and employee development.  The direct program work will include technical work and subject matter expertise for the system; e.g., technical lead, mission critical technical role, or community wide working group leadership).Drive the success of our programs by delivering on our engineering commitments and being accountable for the performance of your team.Identify and communicate project risks, assess issues, and support the development of resolutions that meet cost, schedule, productivity and quality objectives.Constructively interact with other managers, business area stakeholders and employees to establish and achieve organizational goals and objectives.Personally create and deliver contract deliverables or other work products required by Engineering Leadership.Work Deputy Program Managers of Engineering (DPME) and Program Management teams to ensure programs have the correct staff size and skills mixture.Foster an environment where our Progeny Business Area is an Employer of Choice because our team solves the hardest problems while maximally developing individuals' talents and actively maintain a culture of innovation and autonomy.Develop and lead a world-class engineering team.  A key focus is to mentor and teach others to improve and grow in their professional competence.
