  Why this job matters

  Accountable for a single small to medium sized global network delivery or multiple simple global network deliveries. The global network operates across 198 countries and territories, with 3,400 multinational customers with multiple sites, using 5,200 points of presence

  What I’ll be doing – your accountabilities

  Ensure the scope of delivery is understood, that the solution meets the business need and that plans are comprehensive and are achieved

  Produce and agree network delivery plan and manage dependencies

  Assists with planning and monitoring of all activities, from scoping to live, to ensure agreed scope and benefits are delivered in a contained project.

  Ensure all delivery agents review, size and commit to the delivery & costs of the design for the network delivery

  Develops working relationships and communicates with a range of project stakeholders across teams to ensure actions completed, progress updated and impacts on other components managed.

  Supports engagement with third party suppliers on network solution requirements

  Be able to understand and articulate designs with key stakeholders

  Identify pre requisites to network deliveries and ensure that they are delivered

  Run a regular project review forum with all stakeholders covering risks/issues/finances/status/re sources

  Reviews own work and peers’ outputs to contribute to identify and flag errors or potential issues

  Manage RAG status and expectations of a network delivery with relevant stakeholders

  Supports the identification and resolution of issues and defects to ensure delivery to required standard.

  Identify when network deliveries are at risk and take corrective action to resolve

  Supports a component of a technical project, requiring management of a limited degree of risk or business impact.

  Accountable for meeting committed finance figures for the network deliveries

  Make recommendations for improvements to processes.

  Identify and implement changes to improve quality and reduce costs

  Regular reporting updates to advise of progress to all stakeholders

  Engagement with relevant stakeholders to agree post implementation testing, trial, pilot, launch plans as appropriate

  Responsible for ensuring the scoping of e2e testing

  Skills required for the job

  Professional qualification/accreditation

  Project Management Skills

  Communication Skills

  Delivery management: strong skills in creating and delivering a network delivery plan including identifying and managing risks, issues, dependencies, finances and resources

  Business acumen: Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases

  Experience you would be expected to have

  Worked alongside colleagues/led team through a period of intense stress and pressure

  Developed quotes / business cases and ways to avoid costs

  Developed an internal network of strong working relationships you can call on to assist with your role

  Advocating and applying technology where it has not been used previously

  Handled office politics/disagreements whist maintaining personal integrity

  Suggested cost savings to assist budgets

  Delivered results when the deliverables were unclear

  Used knowledge of the business to sell, negotiate or persuade

  Tackled process/policy obstacles to delivery

  Experience using and preferably accreditation in a Project Methodology (i.e. Prince2).

  Coaching experience and ability to matrix manage teams.

  Some knowledge and experience of business operations, business strategy, financial and operational strategic analysis.

  Knowledge and or experience in BT Product Portfolio and BT’s Concept to Market Processes

  Make decisions at a technical delivery level

  Manage/determine escalation process for project milestones

  Provide options on recovery of the technical delivery as well as other options including re-planning/rescheduling.

  With stakeholders, designers and platforms ensure the proposed technical solution is both deliverable and operationally ready.
