Description

We are in search of a Tax Manager/ Supervisor to join our team located in San Francisco, California. This role is integral to our operations, as you will be tasked with handling accounting functions, managing financial services, and ensuring tax compliance. You will be utilizing various accounting software systems to carry out your duties efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate delivery of U.S. tax services, including complex tax return reviews for corporations, partnerships, and individuals

Advise clients on complex tax issues, transactions, and structuring strategies

Review tax provisions in line with U.S. GAAP (ASC 740)

Collaborate across firm departments to offer comprehensive solutions integrating tax, accounting, and other services

Maintain expertise in U.S. domestic and international tax provisions

Cultivate market presence and build strong client relationships

Establish and enforce risk management policies and best practices

Mentor, manage, and develop junior tax professionals

Requirements

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree required, preferably in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields

Advanced credential for client representation before the IRS required (e.g., CPA or JD)

At least 8 years of tax experience in public accounting or a related field

Proficient in corporate, individual, and partnership taxation

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts

Experience managing multiple client engagements and service teams

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities

At least 3 years of experience supervising and training associates and/or managers

Highly motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset

Flexible and adaptable

Ability to integrate quickly into new environments
