　　Systems Engineer (VOPS-2024-19909)

　　Bowhead is seeking a Systems Engineer in Dahlgren, VA. This position supports the Naval Systems Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD)

　　Responsibilities

　　This position requires a flexible individual with experience in:

　　Systems engineering processes regarding combat weapon systems requirements/concept development, weapons systems design/engineering, systems computer program development, integration, test, and certification processes (safety and system), information assurance, safety and engineering requirements.

　　Requirement’s definition, traceability, verification, generation of system performance, system specifications, system architecture development (functional, physical, behavioral), and definition of system interfaces, conducting system trade studies, and generation of functional requirements.

　　Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) and/or Aegis Combat Systems, to include operational and laboratory / test bed experience.

　　Qualifications

　　BS STEM Degree OR

　　Two to Four (2-4) years of General Surface Navy Combat Systems, systems engineering experience with one plus (1+) year of specialized experience with emphasis in one or more of the following:

　　Ship Self Defense System (SSDS)

　　Aegis Integrated Combat Systems

　　Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense

　　Element Level (Weapon, Sensor, or Combat Management System) Experience

　　Fire Control Operations

　　Familiarity with Aegis BL 9, BL10 and/or BMD 4

　　Current DoD Secret clearance, U.S. Citizenship required for clearance

　　Physical Demands:

　　Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

　　Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

　　Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

　　SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
