Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for a system administrator with experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting cross-domain systems. The successful candidate will work within a cross-functional team to provide hands-on experience designing, installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining enterprise systems. The SA must have a team-oriented and customer-focused attitude due to multiple locations and various end users. Position is located at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the execution of security measures called out in the security plan to include timely scans of network resources and software patches.Providing effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of production Linux Servers in a VMWare Virtualized Environment.Applying DISA STIG compliance controls to secure systems.Supporting daily system monitoring, security, server health, resources and log management of Linux and Windows systems.Troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis. This includes troubleshooting any and all issues with system configurations, backups, files systems, and user access.Supporting RHEL platforms hosting applications, operations and sustainment systems, and ACAS and other security toolsInterfacing with engineers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts in the performance of your dutiesTroubleshooting hardware, networking and software problems in multi-node environmentActing as on-call support for network issues and data transmittal issuesMaintaining software documentation and updatesWorking with a highly technical team to perform evaluation tests
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (Must be able to obtain within 3 months of start and maintain TS/SCI with program read in)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and two or more years of relevant experience (can substitute 4 years of IT experience in lieu of degree)One year or more experience with Linux/UNIX system administrationDOD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification required (such as CCNA Security+, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or SSCPy)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, remote desktop, remote computer management or equivalentFamiliarity with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco routers and switches, WireShark, and CommVaultStrong customer communication skills
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $66700 - $113400
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
