OVERVIEWThe System Architect is responsible for the following key functions as part of the development of the System Architecture of a Ground Combat Vehicle.Hybrid: Due to the nature of the work, this role may require on-site presence up to 80%.This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. Land Systems continues to work with the US Armed Forces and its Allies to ensure these vehicles remain survivable, relevant, flexible, affordable, and capable of addressing a dynamic threat environment.RESPONSIBILITIESThis role will with be responsible for what computing resources will be needed.Will design the video architecture for the vehicle.Designs the network architecture used for the vehicle.Designs the time synchronization strategy to be used.Will work with team on evaluating the needs for the power architecture to be used.Defines the key component interfaces (CI) and maintains the data source.Designs for redundancy and failover.Provides Cross functional support to other Integrated Product Teams and departments.Performs other duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline7 years related engineering experience sought but will consider fewer years with advanced degree.Experience with developing system requirements, system specifications, requirement traceability, requirements compliance preferred.Strong skills in the development of a System Architecture that is compliant to the System Requirements and System Design Definition.Capital Enterprise Experience (or similar software tool) required.Ability to develop a system model and system architecture using SysML preferred.Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required.Able to work in office, shop, test lab, and test site environments, and in vehicles.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster's Degree in Electrical EngineeringElectrical Engineering desired.This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles is desired.
