Responsibilities

Administers radiographic exams under a radiologist's or physician's request and supervision.Prepares room and positions patient to obtain optimum view.Positions equipment and adjusts controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.Uses bean-restrictive devices and patient-shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient and self.Maintains stock supplies; performs general office duties such as delivering and retrieving film, typing forms, scheduling patients, and maintaining records.Explains procedures to patients to alleviate anxiety and obtain cooperation.The duties listed are general in nature and are examples of the duties and responsibilities performed and are not meant to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
