About Sterling Vineyards
Internationally known, Sterling Vineyards is one of the most visited wineries in Napa Valley. Modeled after a Greek monastery, the winery sits 300 feet above the valley floor where visitors take an aerial tram to access the top-quality Bordeaux varietals and majestic 360-degree views of Napa Valley. Closed in September 2020 following the Glass Fire that affected much of the area, Sterling will be re-opening to guests in October 2023 complete with a new gondola system, re-imagined visitor spaces and a fresh take on Napa Valley hospitality.
About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Wine Club Specialist partnership with the Wine Club Ambassador. This role acts as the “face” of the Sterling Vineyards Wine Club. This role’s main responsibility is to assist the winery with achieving wine club conversions goals while aiding in club member retention which is achieved through onsite service and support. This role is predominately a service position working in the Sterling Vineyards Private Club Room.
Major Responsibilities:
Wine club growth and member retention are the top priority of this role
Works to achieve or exceed key DTC financial objectives including, but not limited to, total revenue, wine club conversion, new guest data collection and average order value (AOV) targets
Supports the tracking and accurate, timely processing and incentive reward reporting of wine club sign-ups
Follows proper inventory management to ensure minimal loss/expense each month
Manages shipping activities including returns and claims for onsite Wine Club orders
Hosts wine tastings that convey Sterling Vineyards brand image and lead to sales transactions and brand loyalty.
Completes transactions accurately on point of sales system, including shipping orders, wine club and cash transactions. Stock, price and display merchandise
Builds, enhances and maintains long-term guest relationships, with a focus on wine club members
Assists in the will call process is accurately executed at each site
Helps to provide on-going staff training on wine club key topics
Educates the guests about the wines, wine making techniques and winery information and history.
Offers wine club program and encourage sign-ups in a captivating manner as to increase sales and build customer loyalty.
Engages directly with guests and proactively solve service issues and identify areas of opportunity
Set-up and host wine tastings and tours for guests
Coordinates with Wine Club Ambassador to ensure wine club experiences activities are delivered to an exceptional standard.
Assists in events, private dinners and various site activities
Stays current on Sterling Vineyards wines and guest offerings
Aligns with Sterlings’ team and culture, and models Treasury Wine Estates DNA
Manages all site operations standards as required
About you
You are 21 years of age or older
You have a minimum one year wine sales, restaurant and/or hospitality service experience
You are self-motivated, highly organized, and require minimal day-to-day direction
You can effectively communication in English with all levels of employees and consumers, written and spoken, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
You must be able to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
You have a basic understanding of wine and winemaking.
You must have a clean professional appearance and able to represent TWE internally and externally
You must be able to travel on occasion to other Company locations.
You can lift 40 pounds or more
You have knowledge of food and wine, the wine industry, Sonoma, Napa and Bay Area restaurants (desired)

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $22 to $27 plus monthly bonus. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of Calistoga, CA. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
