DESCRIPTION OF WORK:By joining as an intern, you will have the opportunity to acquire valuable skills in various areas, such as park operations, resource management, administration, and environmental education. Throughout your internship, you will be stationed at Oil Creek State Park and the regional office, where you will learn the ins and outs of overseeing a park maintenance program. This will involve ensuring that the park grounds, structures, facilities, and equipment are well maintained. Additionally, you will actively participate in organizing recreational and educational activities within the park while also gaining experience in managing its natural resources. By collaborating with the park staff, you will also become familiar with the implementation of statewide park operation rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employmentThe employment period will occur between the dates of 5/1/24 - 8/30/24.Typical Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with 30-minute lunch.Student may work nights and weekends, not to exceed 37.5 hours a week.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following majors:Environmental EducationParks and Resource ManagementParks and RecreationEnvironmental Resource ManagementAn approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable.Freshman year completed.Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university.Additional Requirements:
This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.You must be able to perform essential job functions.How to Apply:
