This Warren, Michigan area-based position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. To succeed in this role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. To succeed in this role, you will need to be comfortable participating in compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. To be preferred for this position, you will need to have a complex understanding Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

　　What you get to do every single day

　　Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

　　Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

　　Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

　　Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

　　Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

　　Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

　　In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

　　Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

　　Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules

　　Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives

　　Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

　　Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

　　Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on Requirements - Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

　　Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

　　Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

　　BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

　　Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

　　Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills

　　3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

　　Account reconciliation experience

　　Analyze Financial Statements experience

　　Account reconciliation experience desired

　　Expense Accruals experience

　　Journal entries experience preferred

　　Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

　　Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills

　　High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

　　ERP system experience
