ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Consults with Customer Service to gain knowledge of upcoming customer orders and become intimately familiar with these orders to ensure optimal pick locations. Coordinate with the engineering team by working directly with facility logistics engineers and/or process engineers. Partners with the replenishment team for consensus of decisions to rebalance SKU's. Perform engineering functions per Slotting Training Matrix.
· Reviews daily the promo and urgent items report to determine items that will need to be positioned within the DC from Receiving Dept. This review includes follow up e-mails to receiving personnel to direct the stock to a physical location within the DC for quick turnaround for customer deliveries of these items. Reviews daily the exceptions forwarded by Business Systems & DRP to ensure new items are slotted to provide timely release of upcoming orders to meet customer ship dates.
· Evaluates the items requiring customization that will need to be physically located within the DC at specific pick locations for quick turnaround for customer deliveries of these items. Follow up with Customization Dept. to direct the stock to specific physical locations.
· Updates and maintain the "Launch Calendar" for the replenishment team to review on a periodic basis to ensure launches are reviewed prior to release to the floor. The objective is to rebalance items for optimal order picker efficiency and ensure stock is in specific pick location prior to the release of the order to the floor.
· Accepts and coordinates special assignments. Manages assigned projects within the Logistics Center, obtains resources, sets clear project definitions and objectives, and obtains results in a timely manner. Understands the potential for occasional reassignment to an Order Fulfillment Lead and or job to meet required business conditions.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Education
· High School diploma or secondary GED minimum
Experience
· 2 to 5 years in a Logistics Operational role
· Experience with JDE, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
· Strong knowledge of slotting locations and forward reserves
Functional Competencies
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong structured project management techniques
· Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
SCOPE
The Replenishment Analyst for Order Fulfillment will be primarily responsible for determining the most efficient and ergonomic method of rebalancing Logistical Center SKU's for order picking. This objective includes extensive analysis of Customer Orders prior to pick listing to review best fit for rebalancing stock pick positions and to ensure pick locations are stocked in advance of orders.
Additionally, he/she will coordinate daily with the Replenishment Team to review upcoming launches and special customer requirements that will involve SKU rebalancing, incoming stock positioning and Distribution floor layout changes. The principal objective of this position is to increase operational efficiency and reduce picking cost per carton by improving carton throughput to satisfy customer delivery dates and reduce driver moves. Will oversee daily requirements in Order Fulfillment and utilize statistical analysis and slotting optimization strategies. Deploys both hands-on and analytical approaches to problem solving for a high-performance process focused organization within the Roanoke Logistics Centre.
