We are in search of a Staff Accountant for our team located in Georgetown, Kentucky. The individual will primarily be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, carrying out bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. This role also involves handling journal entries and month-end closings, with a focus on ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process vendor payments via ACH and checks.

• Oversee the application of payments and investigate any discrepancies.

• Conduct thorough research on credit card fraud, manage card orders/cancellations, and liaise with the bank for travel advisories and credit limit increases.

• Perform bank account reconciliations and post journal entries to the Business Central accounting platform.

• Execute month-end close activities and review trial balance reports accurately.

• Enter invoices with close attention to detail.

• Administer the expense report website, create expense reports, and coordinate with other locations for data entry.

• Upload employee 401k information and address any related issues.

• Manage company cars for insurance, registration, title transfers, and filing of insurance claims in case of accidents.

Requirements • Applicant must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary.

• Candidate should have a solid understanding of the General Ledger.

• Ability to handle Journal Entries is expected.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures is vital.

• Familiarity with Oracle is preferred.

• Proficiency with QuickBooks is a plus.

• Knowledge of SAP is desirable.
