Amazon Enterprise Networking is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager in Seattle, WA.The Enterprise Network provides mission-critical global connectivity for internal services and business applications, datacenter infrastructure equipment, and 1,000,000+ internal users.Your work will manage a global program to scale network capacity for Amazon's global Enterprise Network. You will manage a portfolio of projects -- for the portfolio you will create structure, track status, and report to leadership. This role will be engaging, requiring interaction with many internal Networking and Service teams. As such visibility on your programs will be high and requires a PM with strong business acumen and precision communications.The ideal candidate will be an exceptionally strong communicator, both written and verbally, and possess 6+ years of experience in tactical project management of highly technical initiatives, as well as strategic program management. Strong judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence without authority, analytical talent and leadership along with the capacity to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities are a must. Experience in managing data center infrastructure deployments is a plus. Candidates possessing a background in architecture/design, software/network engineering and data center infrastructure/operations.Key job responsibilitiesManage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously.Leading cross functional and technical teams to drive projects from conceptual design feasibility through requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment.Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and senior management on a daily basis.Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles.Work with engineers to develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems, while keeping a watchful eye on timelines and costs.Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow up.Prioritization, scheduling and reporting of global-scale programs.A day in the lifeThe TIPM will be leading conversations with numerous teams to identify and solve complex issues on the network infrastructure scaling and builds of our data centers. Working directly with both internal and external stakeholders to establish requirements, execute against the plan, and identify risks to leadership teams for action.About the teamWithin AWS Networking, the Backbone, Enterprise, and Regional Engineering (BERE) organization is responsible for the design, implementation, and operations of a wide array of networking infrastructure that provide global connectivity between all AWS Regions and edge locations. We provide the massive scale required to support our AWS customers and internal services, via a network that grows by 70% annually.In addition, we have teams that are responsible for the design and operation of our global corporate office and data center network, allowing tens of thousands of Amazonians to perform their daily tasks in support of our customers.
