Tellepsen is looking for talented Sr. Quality Specialist.
Job Purpose
The role of the Sr. Quality Specialist is to implement Tellepsen’s Quality Management System which includes, but is not limited to:
Provide feedback to Preconstruction primarily in the form of constructability reviews. TQM works closely with Preconstruction to identify and resolve potential issues identified in the documents based on Tellepsen and industry standards, previous experience, and warranty callback data.
Perform and document regular quality site visits identifying issues not in compliance with the documents, Tellepsen or industry standards, or otherwise known to be problematic from experience. Quality compliance is the primary responsibility of the Project Team; however, TQM partners with the Project Team and works closely to coordinate resolution of issues.
Provide postconstruction technical support to the Warranty Manager by responding to project related questions and/or performing further field investigation. The Warranty Manager is responsible for tracking, updating, and coordinating the resolution of warranty issues but sometimes requires additional support to resolve more complicated items.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strong advocate for the use of technology in construction and follows established TQM processes that primarily use Procore.
Ability to multitask and stay organized as Quality Specialists typically roam between multiple projects.
Escalates major quality issues, as appropriate, to the attention of the Sr. Director Project Support Services, Project Team, or others.
Provides mentorship and guidance to associated Quality Coordinators and Specialists or, as appropriate, to junior operations members such as Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, etc.
Ability to provide leadership for large projects requiring a coordinated quality effort among multiple quality professionals.
Strong investigative mind with a desire to research and understand construction means, methods, technical details, and standards.
Strong advocate for quality and regularly looks for ways to promote the improvement of quality at Tellepsen.
A team player who partners with project teams and other associates for self-improvement and the overall betterment of Tellepsen projects.
Provides regular feedback to the Sr. Director Project Support Services on improving existing methods and procedures.
Strong advocate for safety and follows Tellepsen’s safety program including proactive resolution of known safety issues.
Qualifications
10 years of construction related experience
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field
