Position Description
Radial is actively seeking a Transportation Carrier Solutions Manager to join our team. The role will be responsible for driving transportation project initiatives, acting as the transportation project representative, implementing new carrier services or solutions, and providing essential support for transportation management system updates. The role will provide transportation leadership and support to improve our client’s customer experience, while working across the multiple service lines of the organization including Technology, Launch, Fulfillment, Account Management and enterprise project management teams.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
Lead transportation-initiated projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery within specified timelines and budgets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate transportation strategies seamlessly into broader organizational projects.
Serve as the dedicated transportation representative on projects, offering expertise and insights to ensure effective project outcomes.
Liaise with project stakeholders to gather and articulate transportation requirements, aligning them with broader project objectives.
Contribute to the conceptualization and layout of innovative carrier services and solutions to meet evolving business needs.
Collaborate with product development teams to bring new transportation solutions from ideation to implementation.
Actively participate in the planning and execution of transportation management system updates, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations.
Provide subject matter expertise on transportation-related aspects during TMS updates, addressing challenges and optimizing system functionalities.
Conduct comprehensive analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement within the transportation domain.
Develop and present strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights to enhance overall transportation efficiency.
Collaborate closely with internal departments, including operations, technology, finance, and supply chain, to align transportation initiatives with broader business objectives.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between teams to ensure holistic project success.
Stay abreast of industry regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring that transportation initiatives and solutions adhere to legal standards.
Implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance and mitigate potential risks.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the transportation function, identifying and implementing enhancements to processes, systems, and services.
Encourage the team to actively seek opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of transportation initiatives.
Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate project status, performance metrics, and key insights to stakeholders.
Proactively identify potential risks and challenges related to transportation projects and initiatives.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure project success and continuity.
Scope
Reports to Director of Transportation Operations

Education Required
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
