Job Description Summary
Responsible for driving Lamb Weston\'s Branded and Private Label salesin retail grocery accounts within an assigned regional geography. Sellsdirectly to major retailers, wholesalers, and distributors. Leads a teamof sales managers and manages retail brokers. Builds relationships withretail accounts, wholesalers, distributor and broker personnel includingtop management, category management, accounting, advertising,operations, logistics and finance. Collaborates with internal CategorySales Development, Category Leadership, Revenue Growth Management andMarketing teams to achieve sales objectives. Develops and manages salesplans and ensures equitable resolution of customer challenges. Preparessales and financial reporting. May act as the quality liaison betweenLamb Weston and the customer. May be assigned to special markets/complexproduct lines that require significant client relationship skills.
This position will cover the Midwest and portions of the Western US.Chicago, IL is the preferred location, but the candidate can be basednear any major Midwest airport.

Delivers sales goals using appropriate resources available,balancing volume and profit goals and managing a dynamic environmentto achieve results.Manage, motivate, and develop a team of sales managers.Manages broker resources to achieve assigned goals.Develops and delivers ambitious, articulate, consultative,fact-based selling proposals and presentations leveraging keyinsights with poise and confidence.Interfaces across functions at the customer to develop mutuallybeneficial programs and actionable solutions.Develops joint scorecards with strategic business partners tomeasure plan success.Incorporates financial resources (trade funds & shopper marketing)into the planning process to drive market share.Develops action plans which define strategic and tacticalinitiatives for the customer in accordance with customersegmentation and aligned with Lamb Weston\'s strategic direction.Maximizes the ROI to Lamb Weston on new products and brandintroductions.Anticipates and addresses execution issues/objections before theybecome a problem.Leads cross-functional collaboration internally and externally.Continually monitors and evaluates customer/marketplace insights toanticipate opportunities.Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Minimum BA/BS degree, MBA desirableMinimum of 10 years progressive sales experience, to include accountmanagement in the Retail Grocery Channel3-5 years\' prior people man gement experienceSales management experience in the management of multiple productcategories and customersExperience calling on retail headquartersStrong broker management skillsIn-depth knowledge in sales, trade and marketing concepts andmethodsStrong skills in development and maintenance of customer relationsand promotions managementCapable of effectively interpreting and using multiple informationresources to develop strategies and tacticsProficient in PC tools and applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,e-mail).
