  Job Description

  Come work on the next generation of display software for Caterpillar machines. Our display team is developing the User Interface and Data Access framework that machine operators will be using for years to come.

  You will help design, develop, configure, and test our high-quality display software on our small team, focusing on iterative development and fast delivery of features utilizing up-to-date technologies and practices like Agile, C++, Angular, JavaScript, and emergent design.   Job Duties

  Design and implement display software features that meet Machine customer requirements.

  Implement and run automated and manual tests to ensure high quality and sufficient test coverage.

  Continually improve the software through refactoring to allow easier implementation of current and future display software features.

  Participate in team planning through activities such as story estimation and story commitment.

  Basic Qualifications

  BSEE, BSCE, or BSCS

  4+ years of JavaScript, Java, Swift, or C# programming languages experience

  Experience with Linux development and bash scripting

  Experience with CAN, J1939 and other data link protocols

  Experience with large-scale web frameworks like Angular or React.js

  Top Candidates will also have

  4+ years of C++ experience

  Experience using Design Patterns in software development

  Desire to work in an Agile team environment

  Passion for writing maintainable and understandable code

  Experience with Refactoring

  Embedded software experience

  Experience with GIT configuration management tool

  Additional Information

  The location for this position is Mossville, IL

  Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

  This position will require less than 10% travel.
