Key job responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain complex dashboards and reports to monitor security controls and vulnerabilities across multiple platforms, including Azure, AWS, instances, and physical devices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security, engineers, business leaders to understand their data requirements and translate them into actionable insights and visualizations.
Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets from diverse sources to identify trends, patterns, and potential security risks or vulnerabilities.
Implement data governance best practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with security and privacy regulations.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality, performance, and usability of existing dashboards and reports.
Map security controls to systems to present this data to auditors both internal and external.
Collect event logs from systems and devices to present the data on dashboards for key indicators on health.
Collect group membership data from systems to present the data in dashboards for visibility into who has access to what services.
Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders in leveraging dashboards and data insights to enhance decision-making processes related to security.

Basic Qualifications
10+ years of professional or military experience
5+ years of SQL experience
Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
Experience with AWS technologies
Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
