  Your New Role...

  The Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for: preparing daily, monthly and quarterly Sports Content accounting in accordance with US GAAP and Company policies and practices; performing SOX controls; preparing relevant reports and schedules necessary for management and external reporting obligations; and other duties as listed below. This role will work closely with key stakeholders in FP&A and internal and external audit. This role will specifically support NCAA, NBA and Other Sports content revenue accounting processes. In addition, support the NBA Digital Joint Venture accounting processes.

  Your Role Accountabilities...

  Handle day-to-day, month and quarter end close activities including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet flux analysis, SOX control documentation, preparation of SEC Reporting deliverables, and other tasks as requested by management, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met on time.

  Cultivate strong internal partnerships with accounting, finance and other business departments while preparing ad hoc project deliverables and management reports as necessary. Utilizes strong analytical and critical thinking skills to perform a review of Sports Content processes to foster continuous improvement environment.

  Other ad-hoc tasks as required to utilizes strong analytical and critical thinking skills to perform review of accounts and revenue processes to foster complete processes.

  Assist internal and external audit in their audit evaluation processes procedures as requested.

  Be initiative-taking about learning the business and upstream processes to ensure proper accounting and identify efficiencies.

  Participate in professional development and other non-core business activities and initiatives.

  Qualifications & Experience...

  3-5 years of work experience in an accounting role and an experience appropriate understanding of US GAAP.

  BS/BA in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university

  Active or Seeking CPA strongly preferred.

  Big 4 Public Accounting experience a plus

  Excellent oral and written communication skills to articulate key information.

  Self-motivated and able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

  Takes Initiative and willing to take on additional growth responsibilities.

  High emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, data analysis, and process innovation.

  Detail-oriented and high energy.

  Unceasing curiosity and the courage to challenge the status quo.

  Keeps others informed of workload, timeline, and resources needed to accomplish tasks.

  Self-starter and take full ownership of areas of responsibility.

  Seeks guidance on new or unfamiliar tasks.

  Team player who embraces change.

  Advanced analytical and Microsoft Excel skills required.

  Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word & PowerPoint is preferred.

  Ability to foster positive working relationships across the organization.
