As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. 　　Your responsibilities: - Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP - Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests - Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary - Support the annual budgeting cycle including analysis and identification of trends. - Resolve payable and receivable discrepancies. - Assist Finance and Grants Manager with business operating practices and procedures. - Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives - Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process Requirements - Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

　　Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

　　Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload

　　Excellent communication and organizational skills

　　Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"

　　BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or similar

　　QuickBooks experience strongly preferred

　　Proficiency in Internal Control

　　Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings

　　Foundational knowledge in financial reporting

　　Strong attention to detail

　　Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

　　2+ years of overall general accounting experience
