Overview:

Our client, a reputable company in the Albany area, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This position is essential to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial records and supporting overall business operations. This is a contract to hire position.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial discrepancies.

Prepare financial reports and summaries for management.

Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely tax payments.

Manage invoices, track expenses, and oversee vendor payments.

Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.

Collaborate with the team to improve accounting processes and systems.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
