Responsibilities:Develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements,algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.Develop and maintain code and integrates software components into a fullyfunctional software system.Develop software verification plans, test procedures and testenvironments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results toensure software system requirements are met.Perform software project management and software supplier managementfunctions.Develop, select, tailor and deploy software processes, tools and metrics.Execute and documents software research and development projects.Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specificissues, processes and regulations.Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure productand process conformance to project plans and industry standards.Work under general direction.Support Agile development teams to delivering an end-to-end automation ofdeployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment.Decompose complex requirements and capabilities into executable discrete userstoriesPerform Windows and Linux system administrationUse a variety of scripting and automation technologies including bash,groovy, python, terraform, ansible, helm, docker to configuredevelopment, testing and production environmentsEmploy GitOps techniques and tooling (e.g. ArgoCO, Flux, Fleet) todeclaratively manage environmentsDeploy, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, upgrade and maintainkubernetes clusters (microk8s, rke2, rancher) and microservice deploymentsDeploy, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, upgrade and maintain a widevariety of CI/CD and Agile Team tooling including JFrog Artifactory, NexusRepository, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube, Confluence,Jira, and simPerform tasks across a wide spectrum of environments include AWS, DoDPrivate Clouds, and on-premise data centersWork together with program vendors, development teams, and other ITpersonnel for problem resolutionDemonstrate excellent collaboration, communication and coordination skillsBe positive with a growth mindset, embracing collaboration, challenges andambiguity in a complex technical environmentQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics,Physics or Chemistry combined with 5 + years of relevant work experience;or an equivalent combination of education and experience. In the USA, ABETaccreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Ability to Obtain Secret ClearanceSome Travel7 or more years of professional software development and broad engineeringexperience.5 or more years of software development experience with a backend programminglanguage such as Python, C++, Java or C#2 or more years of experience with microservice architectures utilizingKubernetes for container orchestration2 or more years of experience using automation tools (e.g. Docker,Terraform, and Ansible) to deploy/configure infrastructure and applicationsExperience with logging (e.g. Elasticsearch, Splunk) and performanceanalysis (e.g. Kibana, Grafana) toolsExperience with Identity Management and PKI IntegrationExperience with Continuous Delivery/Deployment pipelines and conceptsExperience working in an Agile or Kanban software development environmentutilizing he Atlassian Suite for documentation and project managementPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):A passion for distributed systems and microservice architectures.Experience with complex systems containing many integrated components.Experience with open-source software development experience.Experience with fine tuning Kubernetes and the underlying host OS for optimalperformance in a low-latency environment.Experience troubleshooting software and network integration during platformdeploymentsProven ability to plan, schedule, and deliver quality software.Experience and ability to support Government security requirements and bestpractices for software delivery involving system accreditation
