  Description

  Japan Consumer Innovation (JCI) is seeking a Program Manager in the Retail Efficiency who contributes to our vision to be the partner of choice for vendors to invest in for growth. This role brings together business skills, empirical data, social engagement and external technology into learning about Amazon operations, product and programs for selling partners that increase and maximizes selling partner knowledge and capabilities.   The role of Senior Program Manager in JP Retail Efficiency (RE) is to own the strategy and execution of driving large productivity improvements for retail employees through process improvement, offshoring and automation of high value repetitive tasks. They are responsible for identifying key productivity saving opportunities by utilizing findings from the time spent survey and engaging with Product Family (PF) stakeholders, to build a detailed implementation plan to offshore or automate these tasks. RE is one of the key initiatives to enable the Future of Vendor Manager vision, by addressing operational papercuts and absorbing core Retail employee activities, to enable our retail teams to focus on strategic high value actions.

  Key job responsibilities

  The key responsibility for the RE Sr. PgM is to own and implement the roadmap to drive efficiencies for retail employees.

  The role is complex due to the broad range of activities being handled by retail employees, and lack of standardization across PFs. This person is expected to have a deep understanding of core retail processes in JP across a wide range of job functions so they can effectively identify what tasks can be offshored/automated, develop a step-changing roadmap to deliver FTE savings across the org, and resolve employee frustrations with Retail papercuts/manual processes.

  Tokyo, 13, JPN

  Basic Qualifications

  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  3+ yrs experience in program management, sales, working in product or program management

  Business level of Japanese and English

  Demonstrated ability to dive deep, earn trust, effectively communicate, and build & manage strong relationships with internal stakeholders and senior leadership to drive alignment, key decisions, and results.

  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Possess excellent judgement and strong attention to detail, problem solving, and a data-driven analytical approach.

  Proven ability to work back from a problem statement, analyze the solutions available, conceive new ones and design a step by step execution plan to build the solution and continuously improve, with an exceptional attention to detail

  Highly organized, self-starting and possess strong data extraction and analytical capabilities

  Preferred Qualifications

  SQL and advanced Excel Skills

  MBA

  Operations and Logistics experience.
