ResponsibilitiesResponsible for monitoring supply of raw materials, stock levels,storage capability and levels of demand based on business initiativesCreates integrated processes among internal functions such asoperations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. Focusesresources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials throughvarious production/distribution processes and establishes keyperformance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chainplanning/forecasting to measure actual performance. Responsible formaintaining integrity between various manufacturing and logisticssystems. Leads projects to replace obsolete systems according to aroadmap. Oversees the scheduling of deliveries to prevent excess stockor backorders. Directs maintenance of records and data essential tomaterial programs including materials resource planning. Considersshort-, medium-, and long-term supply plans to ensure security forsupply and optimize profit for each supply chain. Develops riskassessment and contingency plans should demand exceed supply.
