Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a LOA/Benefits Administrator located in Maple Grove, Minnesota. In this role, you will be at the forefront of leave and benefits administration, acting as the main point of contact for employees and coordinating various programs within the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all leaves of absences, ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Lead the interactive process required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), effectively tracking and documenting processes for all employees.
• Act as the primary contact for all COVID-related inquiries within the organization, providing guidance on exposures and mitigation measures.
• Coordinate the administration of the long-term disability insurance benefit, collaborating closely with the payroll department to ensure accurate compensation.
• Administer worker’s compensation, safety, and ergonomics programs, escalating complex cases to the relevant authorities as needed.
• Handle the annual filing of the OSHA 300 log for the city and maintain accurate worker’s compensation information for OSHA purposes.
• Participate in the Safety Committee and contribute to the development of safety programs and initiatives.
• Manage and track salary increases, administering compensation plans in collaboration with the HR team.
• Leverage proficiency in Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate records and perform necessary calculations.
• Understand and administer Cobra Administration and Leave of Absence procedures.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the Local Government sector
• Proficiency in Cobra Administration is essential
• Demonstrable experience managing Leave of Absence processes
• Expertise in administrating Workers Compensation
• Ability to handle ADA Accommodations efficiently
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
