As a Senior Lead Cloud Engineer, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the Hilton Cloud team reporting to the Senior Manager Infrastructure Platform Engineer Cloud, you will support projects including Digital Key, Hilton Connected Room, Property Engagement Platform, Machine Learning, Self-Service, Cloud Automation, and more.

  HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

  What your day-to-day will be like:

  Architect and automate Cloud Windows solutions to run on AWS using Hilton’s cloud patterns and technologies, and build Cloud Windows solutions using Terraform, PowerShell, and GitLab.Manage Cloud Windows project pipelines, consult business and application teams that use Microsoft technologies to run on AWS using Hilton’s cloud patterns and technologies, and build Cloud Windows solutions using infrastructure as code tools (IAC) and processes.Support the Hilton Hybrid Cloud Windows environment, including participation in on-call rotations, and work alongside other engineering teams.Build detailed engineering Cloud Windows documentation using the Atlassian suite of tools and use ServiceNow to engage production ITSM processes.How you will collaborate with others:

  Provide technical and cultural leadership to other Hilton teams about operating Microsoft technologies in the Hilton Hybrid Cloud.Collaborate with all project stakeholders to establish all dependencies, timelines, work effort, success criteria, compliance to Hilton security standards, and document project details for Cloud Windows projects.What projects you will take ownership of:

  Work on Microsoft Windows Server-based platforms like Blue Prism RPA, back office, property, data analytics, and distribution systems.Evaluate on-prem Windows Server-based apps and determine the best cloud architecture, migration path, and execution plan.Promote research and development (R&D) of the latest cloud technologies and processes to deploy and use into Hilton’s Hybrid Cloud like Windows EKS, MS-SQL cloud clustering, IIS, FSX ONTAP, FSX for Windows Server, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Ops Readiness, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and more.Promote automation and self-service in the cloud for Microsoft technologies using cloud technologies in AWS.WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

  You have these minimum qualifications:

  Seven (7) years of professional experience within Technology or a related field.Five (5) years of experience as an engineer in a large enterprise environment building high-volume systems on hybrid networks with experience Windows Server engineering or administration, traditional Active Directory, SCCM, MS-SQL, and IIS.Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools: AWS Command Line, Terraform, and PowerShell/ Windows shell scripting experience.Well versed in crafting or implementing cloud automation processes using tools like GitLab, Bamboo, Packer, Ansible, Vault, or similar technologies.It would be useful if you have:

  Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6 years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12 years of Technology related experience.Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technologies, FSX for Windows Server, FSX ONTAP, SQL clustering, and Windows EKS or other cloud Windows containerization services.Expertise with cloud security and networking concepts around cloud technologies like VPCs, security groups, firewalls, load balancers, logging, monitoring, and alerting.WHAT IT IS LIKE WORKING FOR HILTON
