PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $91,700-$112,100 annually. The full Pay Range is $71,200-$132,600 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Profitability Management & Reporting: Oversee the profitability model to integrate insights across business lines, products, members, and delivery channels, supporting forecasts around margins, returns, and capital planning. Generate and share vital profitability results with leadership teams monthly.
Data Management & Model Support: Steer the databases essential for cost, profitability, and pricing insights. Ensure the Activity Based Costing (ABC) approach remains updated, promoting transaction-based cost and revenue allocation.
Strategic Analysis & Recommendations: Craft meaningful financial projections for both existing and potential products/services using your excellent PC skills (MicrosoftOutlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams & Word) as you learn new software. Solve problems using a structured approach to identifying root causes, design creative solutions and improve existing processes.
Planning & Project Management: Your organization will key to your success as you analyze and convey key insights, focusing on the long-term impact of BECU's product offerings concerning margins, returns, capital, and member value. Offer data-driven suggestions on BECU's pricing, product structure, and capital position to senior finance leaders. Plan, organize and implement multiple projects both independently and on the team.
Reporting & Communication: Deliver timely and relevant organization reports, ready to cater to new requests from the Board or top management. Understand asset/liability management dynamics by reviewing product returns and member trends, using this knowledge to shape strategic recommendations. Using your communication skills, both written and verbal, effectively communicate across channels.
Collaboration & Relationship Building: Collaborate closely with internal teams to sculpt and refine strategies centered around products, membership, and finances. You should be comfortable speaking with all levels in the organization, connecting the dots, and explaining your work in a digestible manner.
Additional Responsibilities: Nurture ad-hoc analyses, exploring imaginative initiatives centered on products, member engagement, and delivery channels. Ensure clarity in operational guidelines by regularly updating written procedures within your responsibility domain. Take on other roles as they emerge, embracing BECU's evolving needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 7 years of related functional work experience in finance or accounting.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting or economics or equivalent work or education experience.
Previous experience with financial modeling responsibilities in a financial institution, or comparable work experience.
CPA/MBA or continuing education towards CPA/MBA requirements.
Previous experience using accounting principles and the ability to understand core business drivers.
Experience utilizing SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Cost and Profitability Management, and SAS Enterprise Guide.
Previous experience with cost accounting, activity-based management, and profitability modeling.
