Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze customer design requirementsConnect features requests to market trends, customer pain/gain points and budget.Offer initial feasibility and scope assessments to customer requests.Collaborate with customers on software design that maximizes use of Blackberry Technology Solution products Act as a liaison between customers and corporate engineering communities.Do pre-sales software development work and consulting work with a Pre-Sales focus (demos, benchmarking, high-level customer design assistance, initial environment set-up, high level software design etc.). Some of Post-sales activities required depends on customer needs.Deliver technical solution presentations to customers and large audiences.Represent BlackBerry QNX at regional trade shows or in concert with our large customers.Develop and maintain a technical knowledge base of competitive intelligence where applicable and create sales tools to help present our product feature and benefits in the most competitive light. Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. Barriers to entry such as technical committee review exist at this level.Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Exercises independent judgement in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups.Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. May supervise the activities of others.Act as technical liaison to HQ teams to ensure on-time delivery of products and services, resolution of technical issues and feedback of key intelligence / product requirements that can help shape future product roadmap directionManage the customer’s technical requirements (through various support and engineering departments) from development phase to commercial releaseQUALIFICATIONS:
Well versed in spoken and written EnglishFluent in Japanese languageTechnical experience with embedded software, hardware, and system level solutions for Automotive, Medical, Industrial, Transportation, Robotics, Drones, IoT, Aerospace and other mission critical applicationsMinimum 8 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree (business or engineering) or 7 years with a Master’s degree preferredSelf-starter with strong interpersonal, communication & time management skillsWilling to travel within the region for customer/partner engagements Problem-Solving AbilitiesTeam worker who enjoys working in a global work-environmentExcellent presentation skills and proactive customer-communication are must-have.#LI-HY1
