Job Description
Responsibilities
Perform power flow analysis as part of generation developmentactivitiesProvide grid, transmission system planning and congestionevaluation, to assist in development activities mainly in USAReview utility expansion plans to identify potential opportunitiesReview utility interconnection studies (feasibility, impact, andfacility).Develop conceptual design of interconnection facilities and costsAssist in conceptual design of wind farm and solar electricalcollection systems (34.5kV), substations (34.5kV - transmissionvoltage 115kV - 230kV - 345kV), and project owned transmission linesProvide assistance during project design and construction forinterconnection related issuesInterpret market rules as they apply to the interconnection study,construction, and operation of generation projectsParticipate in various industry groups dealing with interconnectionand market issuesPerform technical diligence for potential M&A projectsPerform complex Transmission delivery assessments to supportOrigination and business opportunities for RFPsCoordinate with consultants to prepare system models and performreliability and economic studiesEstablish relationships with various technical experts amongstakeholders, utilities, RTO/ISOsMinimum Qualifications:
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.2+ years of experience in transmission system planning, complianceand operations including complex power flow, short circuit, andstability studies.Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employervisa sponsorship now or in the future.Preferred Qualifications
BS or MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus on powersystems.PJM region experience while working at the ISO or with the Utilitiesand advanced understanding of the PJM interconnection and planningprocess.Knowledge of FERC, NERC standards related to transmission andinterconnections, including Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT) aplus.Experienced in the use of power flow software such as PSS/E, TARA,PowerWorld, PSLF, or PSCAD similar software package a plus.Proficiency in spreadsheet modeling using Microsoft Excel.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.#LI-REMOTE
Salary Range
\$128,000 - \$150,000
