Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

Randall Library at
UNC Wilmington is seeking applicants for a Building Operations Program Assistant. This position supports the Building Operations Manager and contributes to the daily operations of the library, applying knowledge of the library organization, procedures, and systems to meet the needs of library cliental.
Specific duties include:
Coordinating daily space reservation requests in various reservation systems and interacting with library staff and faculty to meet their space reservation needsManaging the setup and breakdown of space requests and library events.Utilizing a ticketing system to update and respond to daily work orders and responds to building operations applying knowledge of library policy and proceduresUtilizing a variety of systems to input and record building use and related data, and creates reports as requestedOrganizing building operations activities, schedules, and providing customer service to cliental, including students, staff, faculty, and the community in daily interactions.Other duties may include closing/opening the building, applying library policy, responding to security and facility emergencies, sorting and distributing mail, providing basic technology support at meetings and events, overseeing lost and found, and maintaining the weekly schedule for the Building Operations and Security team.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Preferred education, professional skills and experience
Ability to use applicable technology, web-based data systems and programs needed to complete work assignments
Ability to process daily actions and requests within established guidelines and with knowledge of operational processes and procedures
