We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced data & applied scientist to join our Bing Shopping team. If you are passionate about data science and engineering and want to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
As a Data & Applied Scientist on Shopping Search, you will work on providing text classification models and algorithms to improve search results, as well as analyzing user data to identify trends and patterns. You will work with other engineers to optimize the performance of the search engine and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in search technology. You will also collaborate with product managers to define product requirements and develop new features, as well as provide recommendations and insights to the product roadmap and strategy. Your team’s work is a key driver of growth for the product, impacting billions of searches on Bing and across Microsoft products. You will work closely with the product team and business stakeholders to scale the solutions to all languages and regions around the world.

Responsibilities
Participate in design, implementation, and execution across a variety of features regarding data science and machine learning.
Drive innovations in analytics applications, ranking and recommendation algorithms.
Design experiments to measure the impact of new ML models and product features.
Champion data-driven decisions for feature prioritization and delivery.
Collaborate with product team and other organizations within Microsoft to deliver success.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
BS/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operation Research, Automation, Physics, or other engineering or science fields
Proven experience in experience with C#/C++/Java/Python/Scala or any other OOP skills with a good knowledge of Data Structures/Algorithms
Passionate and have experience in data analytics, applied machine learning, deep learning and/or related fields
Preferred Qualifications
PhD with research experience in data science, machine learning and/or related fields
Experience developing end to end analytics solutions or ML systems for real world applications
Have publications at peer-reviewed Data Science/AI conferences (e.g. KDD, CIKM, SIGIR, NIPS, CVPR, ICML, ICLR, ICCV, and ACL).
