About Design Engineer

  Role Purpose - Establishing the product description via CAD model and drawing and its documentation in PDM.

  Key responsibilities

  Engineering Drawings

  Create engineering drawings to support the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.

  Product and Solution Development

  Support others by carrying out simple product development or engineering tasks, such as gathering data or preparing documents. Involves following established procedures.

  Solutions Analysis

  Find the most effective ways to respond to routine functional enquiries. Involves following procedures and precedents.

  Data Collection and Analysis

  Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.

  Personal Capability Building

  Develop and maintain excellent process or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.

  Performance Management

  Complete allocated work to the required standards of quality and timeliness; use performance management systems to improve personal performance.

  Improvement/Innovation

  Implement improvements and provide feedback on them. Use change management systems and protocols to provide routine supportive services.

  Project Management

  Support project managers by performing simple tasks. Involves following established procedures.

  Project Change Management

  Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to identify, manage and control project-related changes.

  Project Communications Management

  Works at an intermediate level to ensure timely and appropriate planning, collection, creation, distribution, storage, retrieval, management, control, archiving, and disposition of project information. Typically works with guidance.

  Planning and Organizing

  Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives.

  Education

  Short-Cycle Tertiary Education

  Experience

  Basic experience of simple office / operational systems (4 to 6 months)
