Jail Systems Administrator

　　Do you have what it takes to become the next full time, salaried/exempt Jail Systems Administrator of DeKalb County's Department of Information Systems?

　　The Jail System Administrator's role is to manage and tune in house computer software systems and network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications. This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with County goals, industry best practices and regulatory requirements under the direction of the Director of the County's Information Systems.

　　To perform this position effectively, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The successful candidate will be proficient in verbal and written communication to a wide audience (department staff, County officials, general public); have a college diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 5+ years equivalent work experience and certifications in any industry-related software/systems.

　　Partial list of requirements:Working technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office; working technical knowledge of current systems' software, protocols, and standards, including [firewalls, Active Directory...]; strong knowledge of local area network administration and hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.

　　Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check and possess a valid driver's license.On-site working hours are 6am - 2pm, Monday - Friday with after-hours availability when necessary
