Within Citi, the Global Infrastructure Defense Security Engineering Team is focusing on designing, developing, testing, and architecting Citi’s next generation cyber security solutions.

　　The Senior Cyber Security Engineer is a senior level position responsible to design / develop and certify Security Strategies, products and best practices for Citi globally. Beyond this, the engineer will also be responsible for working on various key security strategy initiatives and deliver security products that will adhere to all key enterprise security requirements.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Be part of a global team defining next generation security architectures and standards like WAF, NDR, CDN, DDOS protection and more.

　　Research and develop industry leading security architectures that integrates with Citi's existing standards.

　　Identify threats and risks impacting the architecture or solutions and define protective controls

　　Write and publish designs, architecture standards, test results and best practice guides for the global audience

　　Validate security products to determine product capabilities and limitations – including end-to-end complex security architectures.

　　Hands-on evaluation and certification of emerging network security technologies in our Budapest Lab of 120+ racks of test equipment.

　　Qualifications:

　　6-10 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role.

　　Deep understanding of security principles, practices and standards.

　　Experience with multiple security disciplines including strong understanding of network security.

　　Deep understanding of TCP/IP technologies and protocols.

　　Experience in design and implementation of network security systems.

　　Unix/Linux and Scripting (Python/Perl/Bash) experience.

　　Excellent English communication skills.

　　Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative.

　　Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.

　　Education:

　　University / College degree in any STEM area or equivalent industry/technology knowledge.

　　Master’s degree preferred.

　　Information security industry recognized certifications from relevant certification bodies such as ISC2 or GIAC.
