  POSITION OVERVIEW

  King Tech has an opening for a Electronics Technician/Quality Assurance Specialist to provide integration expertise for U.S. Navy network systems and associated systems to support the Navy Network Integration and Engineering Facility (NIEF) facility located at Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) headquarters in San Diego.

  GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  Provide support and expertise for Navy networks and associated systems during Pre-Installation testing and checkout (PITCO).

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  Preload, configure and test equipment and systems to include servers, workstation, router, and switches.

  Support Government Acceptance Test (GAT) and final quality assurance (QA) by providing engineering drawings, answering technical questions and providing direction to production personnel

  Executing CICD to build virtual machines and configure different enclaves to include, Unclass, Secret, and Secret Releasable servers.

  Hands-on experience configuring interfaces, routing protocols, and security parameters on Cisco networking devices. Installation and oversight for post-production modifications (PPMs) in the production lab and onboard the ship.

  Analyzing, correcting, and replacing parts on the various equipment, shipboard racks, and afloat network infrastructure. Utilize Configuration Management and product lifecycle tool (CMPRo) to gather material for installation, create new parts lists, verify inventory, and work orders status.

  REQUIRED SKILLS: 

  Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and deinstalltion of electronic systems, components, cables, cableways, while using Fiber, LAN Data Cabel Tester, Megger and multimeter.

  Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance.

  Some experience in routing and switching (Cisco preferred).

  Some experience in system administration (Microsoft or Linux preferred).

  Experience in VM ware ESX and vSphere is desired.
