The role of Industrial Service Business Development Manager at GE Power Conversion is central to providing support solutions to our customers’ operations in the Industrial, Wind and Oil & Gas sectors. You will bring a dynamic approach to customer development, helping to meet customers’ current and future needs and create business growth opportunities both domestically and internationally.
Job Description
In this role you will focus on:
Developing existing and targeted strategic clients in line with medium and long-term business objectives.
Market research, identifying new opportunities and markets, growth areas, trends, customers, and partnerships for deliveringnew solutions.
Supporting the development of Industrial service offering value propositions and their communication to customers through the sales teams’ proposals.
Providinginputs to the marketing function to develop market strategy and priorities that will support implementation of the business development plan.
Developing strong industry networks, including through attendance at industry events.
Planning and coordinating sales campaigns.
Working directly with the sales team to develop the orders pipeline.
Covering a variety of service solutions associated with the Industrial and Oil & Gas segments, primarily in support of an installed base of power electronics equipment, drives, control and excitation systems.
Regular travelling to customer meetings in the UK, and outside the UK several times a year.
We are looking for a committed and professional individual with:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent qualifications) or an advanced business degree with relevant energy or industry experience.
PC literate and familiar with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Proven track record in previously capturing and interpreting customer requirements on a regular basis.
Flexible, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach; good team player and effective communicator.
Thorough, proactive approach to work, with a ‘sense of urgency’ to deliver quality results on-time.
Possession of a valid passport and driver's license to meet travel requirements.
Unrestricted right to work in the UK full-time.
