Description We are looking for a meticulous Sr. Accountant to join our team in the Hi-Tech Engineering industry located in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and posting top-side journal entries, assisting with the preparation of consolidated financial statements, and performing variance analysis on critical accounts. You will also correspond with internal and external auditors, perform technical research on various accounting issues, and provide accounting consultation advice to business partners under US GAAP.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post top-side journal entries related to Corporate Accounting
• Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements and perform variance analysis on certain critical accounts
• Assist with the preparation of financials and related paperwork required for 8K/earnings release
• Correspond directly with internal and external auditors and provide requested schedules to support necessary audit requirements
• Perform technical research on various accounting issues and provide accounting consultation advice to business partners under US GAAP
• Support special projects as necessary, such as purchase accounting matters related to merger and acquisition activity
• Assist with the preparation of footnotes/MD A for Form 10Q/K SEC filings as well as other SEC filings
• Use your skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to fulfill job duties and contribute to the team. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior accountant role or similar
• Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
• Solid understanding and experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Ability to perform and review journal entries accurately
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for creating complex spreadsheets and reports
• Experience with financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hi-tech engineering environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
