This Logistics Control Clerk will be part of a dynamic team, which enhances product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory in support of Navy Ashore/Afloat units as directed by a designated customer lead for Federal Services/HAZMAT Program operations in our Bremerton, Washington location. Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their Federal Services/HAZMAT Program contract which supports their defense work in Bremerton, Washington. Our team plays a key part of the US Navy Ashore/Afloat activities with HAZMAT and CHRIMP support.
You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco teams which have been recognized by the U.S. Navy and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the contract and program.
In this role you will:
Provide support for the US Navy CHRIMP activities at Naval Base Bremerton
Be expected to work with other HMC personnel to make sure all HAZMAT is stored properly in the warehouse spaces and that all environmental policies are followed.
If compliance is not met information collected will be consolidated for final reporting up the chain of command.
Applicant’s day-to-day administrative tasks will be to maintain SAFTEY DATA SHEETS, Authorized Materials Users List, and memorandum information's and data entries.
Use of MS Office products is required.
Other additional duties may be assigned in support of this effort.
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $43,865 to $65,789; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
The ability to obtain a NACI
High school diploma/GED
2+ years' of related experience
Some knowledge of logistics/Navy HAZMAT management methodologies
Experience with data collection/data validation efforts
Technical training/experience in Navy Supply procedures and IT systems used in HM management processes including some or all of the following: HM Inventory Management, Stock identification and inventory processes IT systems for HM: Navy-ERP, HMIRS and FedLog, HM Minimization Center Operations.
Ability to train and assist personnel regarding HM management procedures
Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable adjudicated background investigation.
