Overall Purpose:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Procurement Excellence, the Procurement Excellence Associate is responsible for executing on the DLC supplier diversity program strategy as well as supporting the alignment of all Procurement strategies and programs with the overall objectives of the organization. This highly visible position provides a unique and exciting opportunity for the right person.
Job Responsibilities:
§ Analyze complex data sets to develop reporting for monthly review by the Board of Directors and executive leadership
§ Support Procurement in the identification of new diverse suppliers
§ Serve as a conduit between Procurement and Accounts Payable to expedite invoice resolution
§ Attend events locally to improve the company’s presence within the diverse supplier community and build relationships with suppliers
§ Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders as well as externally with suppliers and professional organizations
§ Manage the collection of Tier II diverse spend data as well as forecasting and analytics/reporting of data
§ Maintain supplier data and records management including responsibility for organizational contract repository
§ Serve as the point of contact for the internal Corporate P-Card program
§ Participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives
Education/Experience Requirements:
§ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Management
§ Minimum of 2 years of work experience in procurement, supplier diversity, and process improvement
§ Experience and passion for analytics and data
§ Self-starter with strong business acumen that works well with cross-functional teams
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
§ Experienced in project management, problem solving, and relationship building
§ Extensive experience in using MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and SharePoint
§ ERP system experience, Maximo experience strongly preferred
Decision Impact:
Problems and issues faced are vague but may be recognizable based on past experience. Accountable for some direct level of reasoning and decision making in straightforward situations based on precedents.
Scope:
Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs and reporting. Typically accountable for managing one's own time and work flow. Responsible for using prescribed guidelines to analyze situations and solve problems. Work is typically of moderate complexity requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Continues to build knowledge base and develop capabilities by partnering with more experienced staff as needed
Supervisory:
This role is not a Supervisory position.
Hybrid Work
Position follows our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.
Storm Roles
All Non-Union Employees will serve in storm roles as appropriate to their role and skillset. Please be sure to discuss storm roles with the hiring manager for this position, as duties can vary across the Company. Examples of storm roles could include but aren't limited to duties such as: working with operations for service center support or with the communications, customer service or government affairs teams to respond to public and customer requests for information, etc.
Data Governance
Utilize data to make business decisions as appropriate for the position, support data stewardship activities and partner with IT on underlying data needs.
