The Security and Safety Specialist directly contributes to CPC's success in protecting our employees, contractors, vendors, and assets by configuring, maintaining and evaluating systems as it relates to intrusion, surveillance and access control across all CPC Twin Cities locations. Serves as a strong cross functional partner internally and will manage associated vendor relationships and contracts. This position drives team results, ensuring on time, on budget project delivery as well as effectively responding to emerging security and safety related needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for overall program oversight and service delivery for security and life safety procedures including, but not limited to intrusion, surveillance and access control systems as well as emergency response procedures. Use sound project management principles to ensure security projects, programs and strategies are effectively implemented. Assist in evaluating, updating and refining security policies, procedures, program and guidance documents and ensuring consistent compliance across various levels of the business. Provide input and operational insight to overall security strategy and budget planning. Manage vendor contracts, deliverables, relationships and service level agreements for maintenance of security systems and features alongside our sourcing team. Assist safety incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action identification, and follow through for documentation in online incident reporting system. Conduct in person training and coordinate online training for personnel at all levels of the organization, which may include large group training sessions. Execute and track completion of safety suggestions and post-accident corrective actions. Participate and document incident investigations using root cause methodology. Engage in on-site Security and Safety assessments and update site specific programs as needed to ensure compliance. Assist in developing technical documents including EHS procedures, programs, and guidance documents. Coordinate the emergency response program, including organizing specific training, sending out reminders, providing clear direction to all employees on emergency response procedures and providing leadership when responding to emergency situations. Provide necessary personal protective equipment including, safety glasses, gloves, respiratory protection, hearing protection, foot wear and body protection. Input data and provide reports as needed to maintain and support EHS department metrics, monitor, and review progress. Confer with team members to resolve operational safety problems. Work cross functionally to fully engage employees, contractors and vendors in the EHS process, expectations, and requirements. Maintain and coordinate Security and Safety e-learning, bulletins, and other communication materials. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 0-3 years of experience or 3-5 years of experience working in relevant field. 3+ years in the security field with proven knowledge of physical security best practices to include, but not limited to design and optimization of physical security and life safety systems. Proficiency in security systems, applications, hardware and practices related to access control, intrusion and surveillance. C-Cure 9000, exacqVision experience preferred. Continuous improvement mindset with an emphasis on seamless, invisible security systems and excellent customer service. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, together with strong organizational skills, prioritization and attention to detail. Competent with Microsoft Suite (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently or with others in cross-functional project teams. Ability to read, interpret, and apply regulations and industry standards as well as stay abreast to security and safety best practices.
